Is there a better image that expresses how it feels to ride up the Pyrenees early in the morning, sniffing that air, breathing the morning, feeling the freedom and climbing the summit? I’m sure there are many, but this is mine, on the climb to Col d’Aubisque at 1700m on the 2016 Trans-Pyrenees Tour. And that’s exactly where we go again this year on our 2019 Route de France.

Is there a better image that expresses how it feels to ride up the Pyrenees early in the morning, sniffing that air, breathing the morning, feeling the freedom and climbing the summit? I’m sure there are many, but this is mine, on the climb to Col d’Aubisque at 1700m on the 2016 Trans-Pyrenees Tour, and that’s exactly where we’re headed again this year on our 2019 Route de France.

We’re riding a Tour de France again, but this time not the current one, but the route of 1972. I’ve put together more details on the Route de France 2019 page.

That gives again a large portion of adventure, fantastic landscapes, spectacular mountains, crazy cyclists, wild animals and much more.

And there will be a blog again

I was very pleased how my daily tour report 2017 was received by you. For many it was the first thing they wanted to read in the morning and some reported they were almost sad that the tour ended in Paris. When my report came across a bit demotivated – especially in the first rainy week in the Jura – people reached for their cell phones and wrote encouraging SMS, WhatsApp or emails. That was really cool and I had afterwards in the head, I could not disappoint my readers …

Now that the infrastructure, the WordPress instance, still exists, I prepared the blog posts for each stage and redesigned the site for more content. With that, I just need to fill the posts on the road again with content, photos and text, release and you’re back on.

So, who wants to come along can be there again via this medium. There will again be daily reports from the track, the paddock and the surrounding area and I will try to include more interviews.

Comments and Suggestions

Write me what you missed last time, what you would like to have more of or any other requests for coverage.

Greetings

Roland
