After all the one day events, interim reports, COV19 cancellations, finally an event that deserves the name of this page, a tour. A tour through Portugal, the Transportugal Roads Tour. From the very north through the country to the most southwestern corner to the “last german sausages before America”. And of course there will be again a daily tour report with photos, interviews, and stories.

This epic route through Lombardy to the Ligurian coast was a wonderful experience, especially, because it wasn’t a mass event. I’ve done it with about 660 like-minded others. Almost 300 km of cycling on one day is quite special, although I can report it wasn’t that bad.

With the flow of the third week they climb the giants of the Haute des Alpes. Col du Var (2100m), Col d’Izoard (2400m), Co du Galibier (2650m), Col du Telegraphe (1560m) and Col du Grand Cucheron (1200m). Two really challenging stages that demand everything from you and it really goes high up, as my photo on top of the Galibier conveys.
