Stage 14 – Blagnac – Rodez (July 8)

Even at the Tour de France there are quiet days, quiet in the sense of not far and not high. In real life, however, 180 km and 1800 meters of altitude are certainly not a quiet day. For us, this has been the topic of conversation today, how cool it is to have such a day, hey, logical after more than 2000 km.

Stage 13 – Saint Girons – Foix (July 7)

Stage 12 – Pau – Peyragudes (Juli 6)

What a day, what an experience, what an effort. In the end, my longest day with a summit arrival under a full moon. Do not worry, I arrived after 219km, 4600 hm and just under 14h and I did not use a bus.

Stage 10 – Perigueux- Bergerac (July 4)

What a beautiful day. Redemption for Roland, blue sky, 28 – 32 degrees, a light breeze. A vacation day on the tour we joked. In addition, there was a beautiful stretch 195km from Perigueux to Bergerac. Here I’m just sitting in a golf hotel that is connected to a winery.

Stage 09 – Nantua – Chambery (July 2)

I am in Chambery, don’t ask me how, but I am in Chambery and nothing else matters and the first week is over.

Stage 8 – Dole – Station des Rousses (July 1)

WHAT A DAY, WHAT A MIRACLE. Yesterday I was still close to giving up, which I really meant seriously and today I drive like changed. Again over 2300 meters altitude, 2 alpine passes and 187km.

Stage 6 – Vesoul – Troyes (June 29)

Meanwhile there was cycling in France, 225 km, 1900 meters of altitude and 10:30 hours I was on the road. But that expresses only the facts. The “alternative” facts are called rain, storm, wind force 6. That was a tough test today, that was really exhausting.
